ARGO-E GROUP proudly announces the completion of Cybele v.3, an in-house software developed in collaboration with Grid Engineers for Bouygues Construction, dedicated to the analysis and design of Mechanically Stabilized Earth Walls (MSEW).
Cybele v.3 is an essential tool for the optimized design of MSEW, maximizing efficiency and productivity by providing a user-friendly framework for the formulation of the model and the performance of the calculations.
The software performs geometric checks as well as external and internal stability checks for user-defined MSEW based on the calculation standard NF P94 270. The output of the analysis includes a thorough outline of all calculations and checks, while also giving the option for users to generate a .doc file with the calculations, which can be easily attached to the design documentation.
Cybele v.3 was developed in Python 3 and operates on Windows. It visualizes the geometry of the model in real-time, is bilingual (English and French), and is accompanied by a detailed documentation describing the calculation processes and a thorough user-guide. Cybele v.3 has been validated by solving several cases and comparing them against both hand-calculations and prior versions of the software developed by Bouygues Construction. Overall, the code was found to be accurate, robust and leads to significantly more cost-effective designs.
