ARGO-E GROUP provided UAV and 3D reconstruction services for the production of photorealistic models of a Photovoltaic Station, in the context of design, development, construction, installation and operation of Photovoltaic Power Plants by “TERNA ENERGY”.
The creation of photorealistic snapshots involves high-resolution aerial photography from an average viewing height of 1.70-1.80 m., within the installation area, for realistic rendering and representation of a visitor’s or resident’s sight towards the Photovoltaic Station.
For the composition of the photorealistic illustrations, the geometry of the photovoltaic panels was initially reconstructed into 3D models, according to their technical specifications.
Subsequently, the 3D models of the photovoltaic panels were integrated into the final photographs with photo matching, in order to match the lighting conditions and the characteristics of the drone camera, as captured at the time of photo shooting.
The final stage of processing focuses on 3D renderings color correction editing for matching lighting and environment conditions of the original photographs.
In the following slider, the original photograph and the corresponding final photorealistic illustration of one the POIs are overlayed, for comparing the views before and after the development of the Photovoltaic Station within the installation.
