An impressive implementation of 3D printing of a 1000 acres natural / artificial environment, was assigned to our company.

The creation of an architectural mock-up has always been a more practical depiction of a project under construction for non-technically trained stakeholders. The integration of the third dimension into a physical scaled model, in contrast to topographic and architectural designs and drawings, gives a study a realistic feel, and enhances the perception of volume and physical dimensions of the environment to be replicated.

The latest capturing and reconstructing techniques of a 3D environment using UAV mapping (digital twins – reality capture) allow for the collection of high resolution and precision 3d information, which in combination with the evolving of color 3D printing, lead to the production of unparalleled detail and precision photorealistic 3d models and eventually mock-ups.

Our company undertook the elaboration of a land property 3d model and the implementation of the optimal color 3D printing solution, at a scale of 1: 1000. We proceeded with the preparation of the 3D model for Nylon MJF color 3D printing. The 3D printing was completed in 12 individual pieces which were then combined to a stunning single mock-up model. The final dimensions of the printed area were about 90×70 cm, in a scale of 1: 1000.
